Request: Export function + Learning progress tracker

Hey, I’ve been using Kitsun for quite a while now and first of all I must say that I am very happy with the user-friendly interface, and most of the functionalities. However, there are a few functionalities that I would like to be added.

  • Word exports: By this I mean taking all items in a deck (levels 1-9) and export them in a file containing both translations, the reading, and their index value. When learning thousands of words, you will at some point loose the overview of what you have learned. I would use this feature to let an AI compare my known vocabulary to the vocabulary I must know for my exam.

  • Tools for tracking learning progress: Graphs, tables, statistics. How many words did I learn this year, month. Can I keep up with my daily goals? How much time do I spend to finish my reviews in a given deck ?

  • Adding words to community decks: Instead of having to create own decks, it’d be great to modify community decks by adding words that they didn’t contain before. This one wouldn’t be as important to me, still cool to have because I like to keep my vocabulary in one single deck.

I don’t know how Kitsun could handle this without being abused. Technically, one could do a trial run, export all the community content and put into something like Anki or all the proprietary dictionary card features used and exported out from what you have outlined.

You can use this now in the Reader, just dump in your test content and it will give a percentage of what you know and don’t know compared to your banked known words.
