Payment Issues "failed to update subscription"

I’ve been trying to sign up for a monthly subscription, however whenever I tried (which was several times despite reloading chrome and whatnot), it would display “Failed to change your subscription” and “failed to update subscription: could not create new customer”. I’m definitely logged in, and am currently using the free trial. Any help would be appreciated.
