Custom Layout in Community Deck

I recently started using the WaniKani Reversed deck.

I am practicing using the Japanese IME to type in Japanese. I’d like to be able to answer the reviews for this deck using kanji instead of just kana.

I’ve created a custom layout (a copy of "Kitsun - Japanese - Vocabulary"/"English -> Japanese") that uses spellcheck:Vocabulary[Reading] instead of type-ja:Readings[Reading]. I’d like to use this layout on the WK Reversed deck, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to enable custom layouts for community decks.

Is there another way around this? Could this feature be implemented?

Searching around the forum, I only saw a handful of other posts discussing something similar.
It doesn’t seem to be possible with community decks, as they can’t be modified.

I ended up exporting the JSON for the community deck and converting it to a CSV so I could load it back in as a custom deck.
This allowed me to use the custom layout I created.

It would be nice if this functionality was available natively on the community decks though.

I think it’s just a layout option that could be applied by the deck author here and update it
