I missed a payment for kitsun yesterday and now whenever I try to pay it’s saying I have to upgrade to yearly?

Please see your newer thread for more details. As for the missed payment, it will automatically retry once more after 24h (also our grace period). If it fails at that time it will cancel your subscription. During this grace period, your subscription is still considered as subscribed for monthly, hence why you can only upgrade it.
